According to information from the Traffic Police Department (C08), in order to improve the effectiveness of handling violations of traffic safety and order, especially high-risk behaviors leading to traffic accidents, especially violations of alcohol and drug concentrations, following the viewpoint of "no forbidden zones" and "no exceptions" in detecting and handling violations, the Traffic Police Department has arranged 6 working groups using equipped technical means and equipment to participate in inspection, urging and handling violations in localities nationwide.
No restricted areas, no exceptions in handling alcohol violations.
The working group consists of a department-level leader from the Traffic Police Department as the team leader, and members are officers from the Office of the Ministry of Public Security , the Department of Party and Political Affairs, the Mobile Police Command, the Traffic Police Department in coordination with local police.
From August 31 to September 15, C08 working groups were deployed in many localities such as: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Yen Bai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau , Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Can Tho, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa...
Through that, many cases of driving on the road with alcohol concentration in breath were detected and handled, notably 88 cases of people driving on the road with alcohol concentration in breath were civil servants, public employees, soldiers, police, journalists who are working or retired, even driving instructors...
Some drivers who violated the law were verified and clarified to be party secretaries, district chairmen or some retired high-ranking officials...
The Traffic Police Department said the plan will be implemented until October 15.
