On August 1, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) issued a new interest rate schedule, recording a significant increase of 0.2-0.3 percentage points at all terms.

The deposit interest rate table at Agribank records the following changes:

One-month interest rate increased by 0.2 percentage points to 1.8%/year.

3-month term interest rate increased by 0.3 percentage points, to 2.2%/year.

Interest rates for 6-9 month terms increased by 0.2 percentage points, to 3.2%/year.

Interest rates for 12-36 month terms increased by 0.1 percentage points to 4.8% per year.

In the Big4 banking group including BIDV , Vietcombank, VietinBank, Agribank, VietinBank is currently holding the most preferential interest rate compared to the remaining banks, followed by BIDV's interest rate.

Accordingly, BIDV's interest rate currently fluctuates between 1.7-4.8%/year, Vietcombank's interest rate currently fluctuates between 1.6-4.7%/year, Agribank's interest rate fluctuates between 1.8-4.8%/year, VietinBank's interest rate fluctuates between 2.0 - 5.0%/year.
