On the evening of March 21, at the Palacio de Ferro, the Embassies of the Francophone member countries in Luanda, Angola organized the "Night of the Flavors of the Francophone Community", one of a series of activities for March 2025 - Francophone Community Month.
This year, there are stalls displaying food , goods, promotional materials and souvenirs from the Embassies of Vietnam, France, Angola, Belgium, Ivory Coast, Egypt, UAE, Ghana, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Conakry, Morocco, Mauritania, Republic of Congo, Switzerland, Serbia with the unique flavors of the member countries.
The Vietnamese Embassy's booth was considered to be rich and had the most popular dishes. This year is also the first year that the host country Angola participates as a full member of the Francophone community.
Besides cuisine, guests can also enjoy special performances (singing, dancing) by Angolan artists.
Vietnamese cuisine at this year's event includes fried spring rolls, sticky rice cakes, rice cakes, sausages, steamed buns, lotus seed sweet soup, sticky rice, and coffee. Products on display include coffee (G7, Royal), tea (black tea, packaged tea), rice (ST25), candy, and dried vermicelli. Documents include publications from most provinces and cities in Vietnam.
Many international guests stopped by the Vietnamese booth such as the Office of the National Assembly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Angola, Miss Angola, embassies of participating countries and guests. Representatives of some communities also visited the booth.
