The activities will take place on April 30 and May 1 at Thai Quoc Hung Square (Hamlet 4, Tri Ton Town) and Ta Pa - Soai Chek Sports and Tourism Area (Nui To Commune, Tri Ton District).

The opening ceremony of the celebration activities took place at 8:00 a.m. on April 30 at the Ta Pa - Soai Chek Sports and Tourism Area. This is also the location for paragliding performances with about 80 powered paragliders and 30 model airplanes. In addition to performing, visitors are also invited to experience flying with pilots or experience flying upon request. In the evening, there will be a night flight performance and low-altitude fireworks display.

The artistic kite flying performance will take place at Thai Quoc Hung Square. It is expected that artist Pham Van Tam will perform a 120m long cobra-shaped kite (a Vietnamese record) with many performances throughout the day. In addition, Mr. Pham Van Tam and other artists will also participate in the performance with about 30 large kites measuring from 7-10m; 70 small kites shaped like colorful mascots, of many types, measuring from 3m and up.

Mr. Lam Quang Quy, Vice President and General Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Paragliding Sports Federation, said that the kite flying location and flying spot in Tri Ton district has the greatest attraction and is the most unique compared to other places because of its complete infrastructure.

“The special thing about this event is that there will be a model jet plane. With paragliding, visitors who want to fly with pilots will have to pay about 1.5 million VND/person/trip for 15 minutes of flying in the sky,” Mr. Quy shared.
