The province has identified the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity as a key, regular and urgent task. The Party Committee has strengthened leadership, direction, inspection and supervision of the implementation of the Party's guidelines and resolutions, and the State's policies and laws on preventing and combating corruption and negativity. At the same time, the Party Committee has issued many directive documents and specific plans to effectively implement this work.
“With the spirit of “Proactive, urgent, clear handling”, “No prohibitions, no exceptions”, the authorities closely coordinate in investigating, verifying, and resolving serious, complicated corruption and negative cases that are of public concern. From the beginning of 2025 to now, the province has urgently accelerated the progress of resolving 5 cases and 3 incidents under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negative Cases (hereinafter referred to as the Provincial Steering Committee)” - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of An Giang Province Le Hong Quang emphasized.

Authorities at all levels concretize the Party's policies into specific programs and action plans. Agencies and units have strengthened inspection, examination, investigation, and handling of corruption and negative acts. Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Inspectorate and Department Inspectorates have conducted 10 inspections (6 from the previous period and 4 from the current period); issued conclusions on 4 inspections. Through inspections, over 1.8 billion VND in violations were discovered; nearly 310 million VND was recommended to be recovered and paid to the State budget; over 1.5 billion VND was handled in other economic matters; 1 case was transferred to the investigation agency.
The functional sector conducted 32 specialized inspections and issued 7 conclusions. As a result, 15 organizations and individuals were found to have violated the law. 13 decisions on administrative sanctions were issued against 2 organizations and 11 individuals, with a total fine of 166 million VND; 1 case of trading in fertilizers with fake value and uses was transferred to the investigation agency. Nearly 102 million VND in administrative sanctions was collected. At the same time, 14 inspection conclusions were monitored and 2 conclusions were completed; 1.7 billion VND was handled in other economic matters, and 732 individuals were reviewed for responsibility.

The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in An Giang has achieved many encouraging results. Many corruption and negativity cases have been discovered and strictly handled, contributing to deterring and preventing violations. Discipline and order in the Party and the State apparatus have been strengthened. People's trust in the Party and the State has been consolidated. |

The fight against corruption and negativity still faces many difficulties and challenges. The situation of corruption and negativity is still complicated and sophisticated. Therefore, at the 27th meeting of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, General Secretary To Lam , Head of the Central Steering Committee, affirmed that this work must continue to be implemented more strongly, drastically and effectively; ensuring both effective prevention and combat of corruption, waste and negativity, and promoting socio-economic development, serving well the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.

In that spirit, the Party Committee, government and people of An Giang province continue to promote their determination and make greater efforts to achieve higher results. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of An Giang province Le Hong Quang emphasized: “The Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee has implemented drastically and comprehensively, creating new changes and breakthroughs in the work of preventing and combating waste in the whole society. The province will implement more synchronously and effectively solutions to prevent corruption, waste, and negativity; regulations of the Politburo on controlling power, preventing corruption and negativity; on educating in thrift, integrity, impartiality, and impartiality among cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life; on asset declaration and control of asset declaration... Persistently build a culture of integrity, no corruption, waste, and negativity; strictly handle acts of harassment and causing trouble for people and businesses; the "disease" of fear of responsibility, shirking responsibility, and evasion among a number of cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees. Strengthen the people's supervisory role in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee shall lead, direct, monitor and urge the relevant agencies to strictly implement the conclusions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee at meetings and sessions. Coordinate closely, focus on removing difficulties and obstacles, speed up the investigation, verification and handling of cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee, especially cases and incidents related to cadres, party members and personnel of the Party Congress at all levels. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, basically resolve cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee.
