An Phu effectively implements policy credit

- In 2025, An Phu district will continue to care for people's lives and ensure social security. In particular, it will well implement social security and welfare policies, especially for policy families, workers, and people in difficult circumstances.

Last year, the socio -economic situation in An Phu district continued to develop, with 20/20 targets achieved and exceeded the plan (15 targets exceeded, 5 targets achieved 100%); social security work and care for people with meritorious services were always given attention. The whole district implemented 13 livelihood diversification models under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction (10 beef cattle models, 1 goat breeding model, 2 eel farming models), with a budget of more than 5.1 billion VND; 5 more beef cattle models are being implemented, with a budget of more than 2 billion VND.

The Board of Directors of the Social Policy Bank (SPB) of An Phu district informed that the unit has well implemented policy credit programs, political tasks and assigned planning targets. In 2024, loan turnover reached more than 143 billion VND; total outstanding loans for policy credit programs were nearly 547 billion VND, an increase of more than 45 billion VND compared to 2023. Total overdue debt and frozen debt was 22.5 billion VND, accounting for 4.1%. The whole district has 317 savings and loan groups (good and excellent groups account for 78%)...

Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, Head of the Board of Directors of the An Phu District Social Policy Bank, Le Thanh Phuong, requested localities to strengthen coordination with the district Social Policy Bank to synchronously and effectively implement social security policies. Strengthen propaganda, urge the collection of overdue debts, frozen debts, and outstanding interest, regularly monitor and supervise new loans; strengthen coordination with relevant sectors to review and grasp information about borrowers who work far away and do not live in their place of residence; effectively carry out the work of evaluating loans according to needs and to the right subjects; strengthen inspection and supervision of the activities of savings and loan groups.

"It is necessary to continue implementing policies to support workers working abroad under contracts in the district; proactively coordinate with enterprises that have the function of sending workers to work abroad under contracts to have measures, mechanisms, and policies to attract workers...
