Ensuring the 2025 High School Graduation Exam takes place safely and seriously

On the afternoon of June 23, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung chaired a meeting to listen to the Steering Committee report on preparations for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. Also attending were Vice Chairwoman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy - Head of the Exam Steering Committee and leaders of relevant departments and branches.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place over 2 days from June 26 to 27. An Giang province has a total of 21,233 candidates registered to take the exam. Of these, 20,748 candidates will take the exam under the 2018 General Education Program; 485 candidates will take the exam under the 2006 General Education Program. The exam will have 48 official exam sites and 1 backup exam site, an increase of 2 exam sites compared to 2024; the whole province will arrange 938 exam rooms, 50 backup exam rooms and 17 waiting rooms for independent candidates who have graduated.

The Department of Education and Training has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Directive on the exam, establish a Provincial Steering Committee for the exam, establish an Examination Council, and organize professional training for teachers and staff participating in the exam. The education sector of An Giang province has made efforts to comprehensively and drastically implement measures to organize the 2025 high school graduation exam safely, seriously, objectively and effectively, while flexibly adapting to new conditions when implementing a two-level local government. Up to now, the organization has been carried out synchronously, especially security issues, exam safety, creating trust and peace of mind for candidates, parents and society. Inspections of exam sites have been carried out, with special attention paid to the camera surveillance system, exam storage rooms and exam papers. The provincial police have closely coordinated with the education sector in protecting the inner and outer rings and the routes for transporting exam papers and exam papers.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung emphasized that this is the first exam to be held under two different general education programs (General Education Program 2018 and General Education Program 2006). In the context of restructuring the apparatus, the education and training sector needs to strengthen coordination to ensure the exam takes place safely and seriously. From now until the official date, marking, announcement, and continuing to review to ensure that no negative issues occur from the organization to the end of the exam.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that the organization of the exam must adhere to the viewpoint of "Taking candidates as the center and subject - Teachers as the driving force - Schools as the support - Families as the fulcrum - Society as the foundation". The organization of the exam is based on the spirit of "3 guarantees": Absolutely ensuring safety, health, honesty, and objectivity in all stages of the exam; ensuring clear responsibilities of relevant agencies in organizing the implementation; ensuring the most favorable conditions for candidates. The assignment of tasks and work must ensure 6 clarity: "Clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, clear results".

Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested relevant departments and branches to strengthen coordination, promote a sense of responsibility, and take the motto "Organizing the exam is truly a festival for each candidate, family and society"; in which, the Department of Education and Training presides over and coordinates with relevant departments, branches and localities to continue to review and promptly issue detailed, complete and clear instructions and guidance on opinions, difficulties and problems during the exam. The provincial police will step up measures to ensure absolute security and safety for the exam, especially providing good support for candidates; coordinate with the education and training sector to deploy solutions to prevent and combat negativity, use high-tech equipment and artificial intelligence to cheat, and strictly handle violations and negativity during the exam. The Department of Health will develop a plan to ensure health and food safety for candidates and officials, teachers and forces on duty at exam sites. The Department of Transport, together with the traffic police and traffic inspectors, increased patrols and controls to ensure traffic safety for candidates and their families during the exam. The Provincial Youth Union performed well the "Supporting Exam Season" campaign, promptly supporting candidates taking the exam.

In addition, localities have plans to provide maximum support to candidates, candidates' relatives, exam invigilators, and exam graders in terms of food, accommodation, transportation, etc. to promptly resolve sudden and unexpected situations so that the 2025 high school graduation exam is truly a big "festival" for candidates.
