Urgently survey and propose the route of the Phan Thiet - Bao Loc - Gia Nghia expressway

That was the direction of comrade Nguyen Hong Hai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee at the working session with the Department of Construction and related departments and branches to listen to the report on the planning plan of Phan Thiet - Bao Loc - Gia Nghia expressway on the morning of October 14.

The Phan Thiet - Bao Loc - Gia Nghia expressway project has been supported by the Ministry of Construction to be researched and added to the national expressway system planning. The route, when invested, is expected to create a driving force for socio-economic development for Lam Dong province and complete the regional transport network.

Provincial People's Committee experts and department officials attended the meeting.

According to the Department of Construction, the Phan Thiet - Bao Loc - Gia Nghia expressway is expected to be about 140.6km long, with 4 lanes, connecting from Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway to Buon Ma Thuot - Gia Nghia expressway, and connecting with national highways 14, 20 and 28, forming a complete, synchronous and effective traffic network.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the working session.

In his speech, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai emphasized the importance of the expressway, but this is a route with very complex terrain and geology, so careful and reasonable calculations are needed to ensure the feasibility and effectiveness of the project.

At the same time, relevant units are required to urgently prepare an outline, select consultants, organize surveys, research and propose route heartlines and directions based on a careful assessment of the terrain and geology of the area. Local research is required to limit impacts on forests, minerals, landslide areas, dams and heritage...

Prioritize the selection of routes connecting to areas with development potential, large factories, industrial parks, tourist areas and mineral processing centers, in order to maximize the investment efficiency of the expressway.

Leaders of the Department of Construction and the Department of Finance attended the working session.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Construction to coordinate in making detailed plans, surveying and carefully evaluating economic conditions, security and defense, forecasting cargo flows and traffic volume, proposing investment scale to determine the preliminary total investment, serving the updating and supplementation of Lam Dong province's planning.

The implementation of the Phan Thiet - Bao Loc - Gia Nghia expressway project is expected to open up new development space for localities, promote trade, tourism, attract investment, and create a strong driving force for the province's socio-economic development.
