Deputy Director of Lam Dong Center for Science and Technology Application Nguyen Van Trung emphasized that Lam Dong has rich agricultural resources, favorable for developing fiber and food processing. The conference is a bridge to help businesses, cooperatives and farmers access and choose appropriate technology, effectively exploit the value chain, increase the value of native crops and advantage crops such as dragon fruit in the Southeast region of the province.
At the Conference, Dr. Pham Thi Hong Phuong, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, introduced the technology of processing fiber plants for textile and handicraft purposes from plants such as wild pineapple and banana stems - locally available raw materials.

MSc. Tran Chi Thanh, Sac Moc Tinh Company, presented additional low-cost agricultural and by-product processing technologies, helping to increase the value of agricultural and by-product products such as straw, rice husks, coffee husks, bagasse, corn cobs, etc.

In addition, VinaOrganic representatives introduced many food processing lines and equipment such as vacuum frying, drying, drying, meat processing, seafood, spices and canned food that meet safety standards. These technologies are evaluated as suitable for the characteristics of agricultural and seafood products in the Southeast region of the province.

At the conference, speakers discussed and answered questions from businesses, cooperatives and farmers about investment in processing technology, application of high technology, effective models with advantageous crops, and shared solutions to link consumption and expand markets when put into actual production.
