Responding to the emulation movement to ensure occupational safety and health of the entire Thong Nhat Coal Company, recently, Mining Workshop 3 has deployed a training session to enhance safety autonomy, identify and assess safety risks, and measures to prevent accidents and incidents in production areas, aiming to build a safe, sustainable and effective working environment.

At the training class, the Foreman and Deputy Foreman of the workshop directly conveyed to the workers the contents close to the reality of underground production, such as: Knowledge of occupational safety and health, skills to identify hazards and risks in the workplace and additional safety technical measures, safety measures during construction to prevent accidents and incidents to ensure safety in production; procedures and regulations on safety work when performing jobs and operating equipment with strict requirements on occupational safety; hypothetical situations of incidents and occupational accidents; updating information and analyzing lessons learned from occupational accidents and incidents that have occurred in the Group as well as in the Company...

According to Mr. Hoang Tien Dat, Manager of Mining Workshop 3, Thong Nhat Coal Company, all units in the company identify safety as not only a task but also a command from the heart. A safe worker is a peaceful family. Therefore, training is an opportunity for everyone to sit together, look at the risks and lessons from reality so as not to repeat regrettable things.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Toan, Party Secretary, Director of Thong Nhat Coal Company, said: The unit will focus on continuing to improve working conditions for workers; maintaining discipline in management and production organization; preventing storms and floods; controlling mine gas, controlling old mine roads; managing and using industrial explosives; mining technology, mechanical and electrical transportation; controlling industrial hygiene... All are carried out according to the motto "Clear people, clear work, on time, progress and responsibility" with the participation of mass organizations, to absolutely ensure occupational safety and health, contributing to the successful completion of production and business tasks in 2025.

According to the TKV Safety Board, in the first 6 months of the year, units have developed occupational safety and health plans and implemented 5 contents with a total value of 870.64 billion VND, equal to 53.65% of the yearly plan. In particular, focusing on improving working conditions and environment, travel and transportation in the furnace; paying attention to workers' health care, periodic health check-ups for workers reached over 97%; organizing training for over 1,600 officers on skills to recognize, handle risks and measures to prevent accidents and incidents; training for 134,416 workers. In addition, occupational safety and health inspections, thematic and surprise inspections have also been strengthened. Through competitions, propaganda work has been focused, key, creative in content and form, attracting the attention of a large number of workers.

According to Ms. Dinh Thi Van Anh, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of TKV Environment Company Limited, the company recently organized a competition for excellent occupational safety and health workers (OSH) in 2025. This is not only a motivation for the OSH network to improve their knowledge, but also contributes to widely disseminating to employees to raise awareness of labor law policies, especially the OSH Law; the obligations and responsibilities of employers and employees in ensuring OSH. This is also an opportunity for the Company to review the organization and management of the OSH network, thereby developing solutions to improve the quality of operations of this network.

With the efforts of the units, the whole Group did not have any type I incidents, the number of work accidents decreased significantly compared to the same period. Entering the rainy and stormy season, the weather was unpredictable, the whole Group continued to maintain a high level of occupational safety and health work with the motto of being proactive. check, evaluate, identify, and take preventive measures early and from a distance; strictly adhere to basic techniques, do not chase output but cut down on production processes and safety measures; strengthen education , training, raise awareness and consciousness of leaders, production commanders, and workers regarding occupational safety and health; raise awareness of self-control in safety, protect yourself and your teammates; replicate good and effective practices in occupational safety and health; strictly handle violations, reward collectives and individuals who perform well in occupational safety and health.
