On September 26, 2024, the Hanoi Women Entrepreneurs Association (HNEW), in collaboration with MISA Joint Stock Company, CyPeace Cybersecurity Company Limited, Savvycom Joint Stock Company, and Hanel Joint Stock Company, organized a seminar on the topic "Information Security – A Vital Factor for Businesses in the Digital Age." The event was sponsored by the Information Security Department – ​​Ministry of Information and Communications.

The program was attended by Mr. Le Cong Phu – Deputy Director of the Vietnam Cyber ​​Emergency Response Center, Ms. Bui Thi Hai Yen – President of HNEW, Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy – General Director of MISA, along with senior experts on information security, business associations/organizations, press and media agencies, etc.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Bui Thi Hai Yen, President of HNEW, emphasized: “With the participation of reputable speakers in the field of information security from MISA, CyPeace, Savvycom, and Hanel, we believe that the seminar will provide much useful and practical information for female entrepreneurs and distinguished delegates, contributing to raising awareness and capacity to protect information, data, and digital assets of businesses in the digital economy.”

Mr. Le Cong Phu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Cyber ​​Emergency Response Center, spoke at the event.

On behalf of the media sponsor, Mr. Le Cong Phu – Deputy Director of the Vietnam Cyber ​​Emergency Response Center – welcomed HNEW and the participating businesses in organizing the seminar on cybersecurity, especially in the current context where cybersecurity is unstable and unpredictable. He also affirmed that cooperation and sharing of experiences among organizations are crucial, contributing to building a safe and sustainable business environment.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy – Director of Information Security Services at Savvycom – shared statistics showing that cybersecurity is currently a significant risk for businesses and also shared specific practical measures to enhance security and respond to cyberattacks. In his speech, he emphasized that 42% of businesses do not have a plan to respond to cybersecurity threats, and one-third are relying on free solutions. He stressed that people are the weakest link in cybersecurity, therefore organizations need to encourage a culture of vigilance and create an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting suspicious activities. He affirmed that Savvycom understands the challenges of information security and is determined to partner with businesses in implementing security solutions, continuously analyzing, monitoring, and alerting when security risks arise, thereby recommending timely and effective solutions.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hoang - Director of Information Security at MISA - shared insights and solutions for protecting businesses' data. He stated: “Cyberattacks in 2023 have undergone significant changes, with vulnerabilities stemming from human factors and technology becoming the primary targets.” He affirmed that SaaS (Software as a Service) is a superior solution for businesses to protect their data. CyPeace Chairman Ngo Minh Hieu (Hieu PC) shared insights on the most common and emerging cybersecurity threats, including their mechanisms, their significant impact on individuals and businesses, and methods to help businesses prevent these threats. According to CyPeace's comprehensive report, global spending on cybersecurity and risk management reached approximately $188.1 billion in 2023, a 14.2% increase compared to 2022. However, this growth is accompanied by a rapid increase in security risks and breaches. He mentioned alarming figures, noting that the total number of vulnerabilities discovered and disclosed in 2023 increased by 11.1% compared to 2022, with high-level and critical vulnerabilities accounting for approximately 56% of those found in popular products and software worldwide. Aware of these threats, CyPeace is committed to its mission of providing comprehensive cybersecurity services and solutions to protect both individuals and businesses in cyberspace.

The event concluded with a panel discussion between speakers and guests on the topic "Information Security - A Vital Factor for Businesses in the Digital Age." In addition to the four main speakers, Mr. Pham Tien Manh, a Master of Information Security and Director of CyPeace, also participated in the discussion, sharing his perspective on the challenges in this field.
