MISA reveals its "one step ahead" strategy: From Cloud, AI to Self-operating Enterprises using Agents

On December 8, 2025, within the framework of the talkshow with President Club, MISA's Board of Directors shared many insights into MISA's 31-year development journey, from an accounting software company to a business management technology ecosystem that strongly applies Agentic AI.

The talkshow between MISA and President Club is an opportunity for MISA to share the development experience of a technology corporation, and at the same time listen to the needs and practical problems from businesses, thereby continuing to perfect the solution ecosystem.

Attending the meeting, on behalf of MISA were Mr. Lu Thanh Long - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. On behalf of the President Club, there was Mr. Pham Quang Vinh - President of the Club, along with nearly 60 member businesses.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of MISA shared insights into MISA's 31-year journey of development, from an accounting software company to a powerful enterprise management technology ecosystem utilizing Artificial Intelligence.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors Lu Thanh Long introduced MISA Group with its 31-year journey of establishment and development. According to him, the name MISA is an abbreviation of the phrase "Management Information System for Accounting", associated with the company's first product, accounting software. From a single product, after more than three decades of development, MISA has gradually expanded to become a comprehensive management solution ecosystem for businesses, organizations and individuals.

Sharing about the philosophy of product development, Mr. Lu Thanh Long emphasized two core principles that MISA always adheres to. First, MISA only makes products that solve customers' "real pain points". The product and sales teams constantly go to businesses, interview, listen, observe, and apply Design Thinking to develop solutions based on real problems. Products that do not solve customers' problems are frankly recognized as failures. Second, if you do something, you must do it to be number 1 in the segment, "sharp" and capable of leading. MISA is willing to refuse projects that are not in line with its strengths, to maintain strategic focus and long-term product quality.

From a technology perspective, the Chairman of MISA believes that the frequency of technology changes has shortened from several years to quarterly, and for a technology company, the feeling of being "satisfied and satisfied" with what is available is the beginning of decline. Mr. Long also shared his biggest fear is "fear of being left behind". Therefore, MISA always tries to "stay one step ahead" in major technology waves. When the world first mentioned Cloud, SaaS (Product as a Service) in the 2010s, in Vietnam this concept was still quite vague, but MISA proactively sent a research team to produce the first Cloud products. By the time the trend exploded strongly around 2016, MISA had hundreds of thousands of customers using Cloud software nationwide.

Not stopping at Cloud, MISA continues to be one of the leading units in AI application. Mr. Long said that MISA started preparing for AI in 2017, and by 2018 had launched products such as digital assistant, digital CFO, etc., even though the market was still in its infancy at that time. Thanks to "seeding early", by the time Generative AI was strongly developed, MISA had hundreds of AI engineers with a lot of experience in deeply integrating AI into products, helping to increase performance, optimize experience and convenience for users across the ecosystem.

Currently, with its AI capabilities, MISA continues to research Agentic AI and Agentic Enterprise - Self-operating Enterprises. The focus of the strategy is the MISA Agentwork platform, deeply integrated into the enterprise management ecosystem, allowing units to create their own AI Agents for each task such as sales, customer care, marketing, finance, human resources, operations, etc. These Agents are trained with knowledge, data, and processes specific to each enterprise, operating as "digital employees" working 24/7.

To realize the vision of a self-operating enterprise, MISA has focused on building a 360-degree Data Cloud. According to Mr. Long, an AI Agent can only make the right decision if it is "fed" with 360-degree data of the enterprise. For example, when deciding whether to accept an order or not, the Agent not only needs to know whether the goods are in stock or not, but also which warehouse the goods are in, the estimated shipping time, costs, delivery commitments, etc. Therefore, MISA is helping businesses integrate discrete data from factories, offices, and different systems onto a unified platform, thereby creating the basis for AI Agents to operate in real time.
