This is an activity organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Cultural House, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The exhibition introduces 100 sand paintings by artist Nguyen Chi Nhat Quang, which, as he said, are the result of a 7-year journey of diligently searching, researching documents and images, overcoming many difficulties to complete.
The series of paintings vividly depicts the characteristics of the homeland, country, and people of Vietnam with images of heroes and great leaders of the nation. In addition, he also recreates some famous works of famous painters at home and abroad.
To have 100 unique sand paintings to introduce to the public, artist Nguyen Chi Nhat Quang had to go through many meticulous steps, such as searching for natural sand, then washing and rinsing the sand thoroughly, drying it to prevent fading, sifting the sand many times to select the softest sand grains... and then starting the creative process.
The exhibition aims to inspire patriotism, national pride, deep love for beloved Uncle Ho and firm belief in the Party, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of all classes of people in the cause of national construction and development.
