
World Food Photography Awards was founded in 2011 in London (UK), and is now in the Top 10 largest in the world .
The award celebrates the power of photography to tell historical and cultural stories around the world through food, drink, rituals and community activities around food ... According to the Organizing Committee, no matter how the world changes, food remains at the center of life, connecting us all through growing, cooking, eating, celebrating and surviving.
This year, the competition attracted nearly 10,000 entries from 70 countries and territories, with a global jury headed by renowned food photographer David Loftus. As a result, the photo “The Elderly having delicious food” by Chinese photographer Xiaoling Li won the overall top prize.
Each food photo is a beauty, conveying different stories and emotions to viewers. Not only having artistic meaning, the authors also send to the public many cultural values, interesting knowledge about life.

The photo titled "Banh Hoi Cake" by photographer Dang Hoai Anh won the Champagne Taittinger Food for Celebration category, capturing an impressive moment in the space where Vietnamese banh hoi, a traditional Southern Vietnamese cake, is made. The central figure is a worker lifting a tray in a perfect composition and lighting. The scene amidst the steam is both magical and realistic, evoking warm and beautiful emotions in the viewer, such as memories of the countryside or childhood memories...
“Banh Hoi is a Vietnamese specialty dish found in many places such as Binh Thuan, Vung Tau, Ben Tre , Phu Yen, Nha Trang and Binh Dinh. The cake is made from rice flour and has an elaborate and meticulous preparation process. Banh Hoi is often eaten with scallion oil, roasted meat, grilled meat and pork offal. This dish is indispensable in holidays, weddings, funerals and ceremonies at temples. This is a local culinary culture”, World Food Photography Awards 2025 introduced the work.
Also according to the World Food Photography Awards website, 185 finalist photos will be displayed at an exhibition taking place in the UK from June 3 to September 7, opening up opportunities for photographers to promote their names and commercial cooperation.
