Vietnamese ao dai and silk shine on the international stage.

Last weekend, at the Crystal Palace Hotel (Ho Chi Minh City), the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, organized the "Gracious Vietnam" gala dinner as part of Vietnam International Sourcing 2025.

This is not only a large-scale trade promotion event but also an opportunity to honor and promote the ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) and silk – a unique cultural heritage of the nation – to the world .

At the Gala Dinner, guests from both Vietnam and abroad enjoyed the artistic program "A Symphony of Ao Dai and High-End Silk." The graceful Ao Dai dresses, crafted from natural silk and combined with modern couture designs, told a story of a Vietnam that is both traditional and innovative.

Among them, the "Silk & Glamour Affair in Couture Soirée" collection for Spring/Summer 2026 by designer Anna Hạnh Lê, President of the Byfas brand and Acting President of the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Association, made a strong impression on professionals and international friends. From silk satin, velvet, and brocade to sophisticated tuxedos, the designs affirmed the ability to connect traditional tailoring and silk weaving with contemporary fashion language. Sharing at the event, Ms. Anna Hạnh Lê said: "We want to bring the heritage of Ao Dai and silk closer to international friends, to show that Vietnam is not only a country of tradition, but also a place of fashion creativity of international stature."

This event also serves as a space for trade and cultural connection, bringing together over 450 international businesses from 60 countries along with approximately 400 Vietnamese businesses. Over 3,000 official B2B meetings and nearly 5,000 informal networking opportunities demonstrate its strong appeal, affirming Vietnam's growing reputation as a reliable destination for international investors and partners. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang emphasized: “Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 is not only a meeting point for cooperation but also a journey to create sustainable supply chains and spread Vietnamese values ​​to the world.”

The "Gracious Vietnam" Gala Dinner contributes to showcasing Ho Chi Minh City's pioneering role in the integration process and promoting the image of the country. Not only is it a dynamic economic center, but Ho Chi Minh City is also the birthplace of activities honoring heritage, bringing Vietnamese ao dai and silk to the world through creative means and international exchange.

From September 4th to 6th, the Vietnam International Sourcing 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Export Forum 2025, and the ITE HCMC 2025 International Tourism Fair continued to offer a series of forums and thematic workshops, creating opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to grasp global consumer trends, expand cooperation, and promote cultural identity to international friends. It can be said that with the "Gracious Vietnam" Gala Dinner, the ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) and Vietnamese silk truly shone as cultural and commercial symbols, contributing to affirming Vietnam's position on the map of international integration.
