Profit-taking pressure, VN-Index lost more than 64 points

On July 29, profit-taking pressure increased in the afternoon session, causing the main indices to plummet. All 30 stocks in the VN30 group closed down, with HDB, MSN, SSI, and TPB all hitting the floor. At the end of the session, the VN-Index fell 64.01 points to 1,493.41 points.

In this session, stocks that had a negative impact on the VN-Index included: VCB, VHM, BID, TCB, VPB, MBB, CTG, VIC, MSN, FPT with a decrease of more than 26.48 points.

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value of this session skyrocketed compared to the previous session, reaching more than 67,467.44 billion VND.

Foreign investors net sold approximately VND882 billion on the HoSE in today's session. In terms of buying, VCG shares were bought the most with a value of more than VND285 billion, followed by VNM (VND243 billion), DIG (VND82 billion), NVL (VND69 billion)... On the contrary, FPT was sold the most (VND615 billion), followed by VIX (VND247 billion), MWG (VND243 billion), VPB (VND224 billion)...

Today's session, VN30 stocks traded quite negatively and all 30 stocks closed down.

In which, the codes that decreased sharply were: HDB decreased to the floor price of 26,500 VND/share, MSN decreased to the floor price of 72,200 VND/share, SSI decreased to the floor price of 33,300 VND/share, TPB decreased to the floor price of 15,300 VND/share, VJC decreased by 6.85%, MBB decreased by 6.61%, SHB decreased by 6.52%, LPB decreased by 6.16%, GVR decreased by 6.05%, VPB decreased by 5.98%, SSB decreased by 5.69%, MWG decreased by 5.13%, BID decreased by 5.08%, BVH decreased by 4.98%, TCB decreased by 4.78%, FPT decreased by 4.76%, ACB decreased by 4.61%, VRE decreased by 4.6%.

Other codes such as: SAB decreased by 3.96%, CTG decreased by 3.95%, VHM decreased by 3.66%, PLX decreased by 3.57%, HPG decreased by 3.18%, VCB decreased by 2.87%, BCM decreased by 2.3%, STB decreased by 2.24%, VIC decreased by 2.08%, VIB decreased by 1.59%, GAS decreased by 1.31%, VNM decreased slightly.

In terms of industry groups, steel stocks closed in red. Besides HPG mentioned above, HSG and SMC hit the floor to VND18,000/share and VND12,500/share respectively, VCA decreased by 6.1%, TLH decreased by 5.71%, HMC decreased by 2.51%, DTL and NKG decreased slightly.

The group of securities stocks was sold off, closing the session down 6%. Besides the above mentioned SSI, the codes: BSI, CTS, DSE, FTS, HCM, ORS, TCI, VCI, VDS, VIX, VND decreased by the full amplitude, TVS decreased by 6.31%, APG decreased by 5.56%, AGR decreased by 5.26%, DSC decreased by 3.78%, TVB decreased by 3.6%.

Banking stocks also plummeted, ending the session down 4.75%. In addition to the codes: ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, other codes such as: EIB, OCB hit the floor, MSB down 6.12%, NAB down 4.52%.

Similarly, the real estate group closed the session down 3.51%. In particular, a series of codes hit the floor such as: DIG, DRH, DXG, HDC, HDG, HPX, HQC, HTN, KHG, LDG, LGL, NLG, NTL, NVL, PDR, QCG, SGR, SZC, TCH. Other codes that fell deeply included: AGG down 5.45%, CKG down 6%, CRE down 6.38%, HAR down 5.85%, KDH down 6.14%, LHG down 4.8%, SJS down 6.07%, VRC down 6.25%...

Other stock sectors such as: telecommunications services decreased by 5.76%, software and services decreased by 4.76%, raw materials decreased by 4.11%, transportation decreased by 3.72%, insurance decreased by 3.51%, food-beverage and tobacco decreased by 3.18%, industrial goods decreased by 3.11%, non-essential trade decreased by 3.02%, consumer services decreased by 1.98%, utilities decreased by 1.41%, energy decreased by 1.22%.

* The Vietnamese stock market index plunged today, VNXALL-Index closed down 123.04 points (-4.68%), down to 2,504.92 points. Liquidity with trading volume reached over 2.85 billion units, equivalent to trading value of VND 74,450.36 billion. In the whole market, there were 55 stocks increasing in price, 28 stocks remaining unchanged and 387 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 255.36 points, down 8.43% (-3.20%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 315.34 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND6,576.468 billion. The entire floor had 47 stocks increasing, 33 stocks remaining unchanged and 159 stocks decreasing.

The HNX30 index closed down 17.58 points (-3.10%) to 549.01 points. Trading volume reached about 230.86 million units, with a corresponding value of more than VND5,674,223 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 5 stocks increasing, 1 stock remaining unchanged and 24 stocks decreasing.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index decreased, closing at 106.07 points, down 0.87 points (-0.81%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 140.30 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 1,723,999 billion VND. The UPCoM group of stocks ended the trading day with 93 stocks increasing, 91 stocks remaining unchanged and 193 stocks decreasing.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 64.01 points (-4.11%) to 1,493.41 points. Liquidity reached over 2.77 billion units, equivalent to a trading value of VND71,240.79 billion. The entire floor had 41 stocks increasing, 15 stocks remaining unchanged and 314 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index fell 74.34 points (-4.38%) to 1,621.29 points. Liquidity reached over 966.40 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND30,375.79 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with all 30 stocks down.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are SCR (over 31.18 million units), DLG (over 26.28 million units), BSR (over 22.08 million units), DCM (over 14.46 million units), VGC (over 7.25 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase were PET (6.99%), ADS (6.98%), C47 (6.87%), CLW (6.82%), DLG (6.75%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price decrease are HCM (-7.00%), BCG (-6.99%), GEX (-6.99%), TPB (-6.99%), DGW (-6.99%).

* Today's derivatives market had 372,368 contracts traded, worth more than VND 61,953.72 billion.
