Apple has officially released the first beta versions of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 to developers, bringing a range of Apple Intelligence features.
Accordingly, Apple will test the iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 beta 1 updates alongside the current iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia 15 betas.

Developers can choose to participate in the new beta with Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence features or continue using the iOS 18/iPadOS 18/macOS Sequoia 15 betas. Only iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPads, or Macs equipped with Apple's silicon chip are eligible to use Apple Intelligence, and only these eligible devices will see the update.
After updating to iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 beta 1, users can enable the AI features in Settings. There is an Apple Intelligence waiting list that developers must select, but access will be granted within the next few hours.
Some Apple Intelligence features are now available, including improved Siri, the Write Tool, the option to switch between voice commands and typing into Siri, summaries for notes and other content, new Mail categories, and smart replies, etc.
Apple Intelligence features not yet available in beta 1 of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 include Image Playground, ChatGPT integration, Genmoji, the option to remove objects in Photos, Priority Notifications, and other Siri capabilities such as the ability to multitask within apps and to understand what the user is doing on the screen.
Apple is planning to release Apple Intelligence in beta later this fall. However, it's more likely to appear alongside iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia updates, rather than iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia 15.
