The organizing committee (OC) conducted a survey of the actual competition schedule, checking the factors: depth, current, wind direction, underwater visibility, as well as buoy placement, starting area and drainage point. The swimming route was adjusted to ensure safety and suitability for the diverse abilities of the athlete groups.
“We want every athlete – from novice to semi-professional – to have a positive, safe and memorable competition experience. Early on-site inspections allow the organizers to assess risks, develop response plans and make timely technical adjustments,” said Duong Dinh Viet, tournament director, representative of the organizers.
