ASEAN issues Joint Statement on Typhoon Yagi

In some countries in the region, on September 11, 2024, ASEAN Foreign Ministers issued a Joint Statement on this matter.

In the Statement, the ASEAN Foreign Ministers expressed their sorrow and
Deeply sympathize with the damage caused by Typhoon Yagi in the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, China and many other countries.

The Ministers affirmed their solidarity with the affected countries as well as their readiness to cooperate and contribute to relief efforts, including through the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre).
