Comprehensive support, bringing technology into production
According to Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Nguyen Hoang Trung, promoting farmers' participation in digital transformation "is a key task, both urgent and long-term strategic". Following the direction of the Central Vietnam Farmers' Association and the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Farmers' Association has issued many specific action plans and programs, focusing on two main directions: Improving the capacity to apply information technology and connecting agricultural product consumption in the digital environment.

Notably, the Project to improve the capacity of applying information technology for farm owners and good production and business households in the period of 2021 - 2025. Through hundreds of propaganda sessions, the distribution of 4,000 instructional leaflets and many digital skills training courses, the Association has helped farmers know how to use smartphones in production management, promotion and online sales.
Along with that, the Association coordinated to build MCA software - a system for managing production processes and automatically connecting supply and demand, considered the " agricultural data center" of the province. The software integrates 6 subsystems, serving 5 groups of subjects from producers, suppliers to state management agencies. Farmers can look up technical information, weather forecasts, epidemics, promote products and connect to the market quickly and effectively.
To make the software effective, the Provincial Farmers' Association has organized 15 training courses for more than 1,000 members and farm owners, providing guidance on how to exploit MCA, manage production and access online markets. In parallel, 4 models of applying IoT technology in cultivation and livestock farming have been implemented in practice, initially bringing positive results: reducing costs, increasing productivity and product quality, forming scientific, transparent and sustainable production habits.
Promote e-commerce, expand consumer market
Digital transformation is not only limited to production but also extends to agricultural product consumption. The Provincial Farmers' Association has coordinated with the Provincial Post Office to organize training for more than 1,200 cooperative members and farm owners; supported bringing more than 300 local agricultural products to Postmart, Voso, Shopee...
Thanks to that, many typical products of Bac Ninh such as Hoa Dao honey, PKT stewed shrimp paste with meat, Tan An melon, Dong Ky hill chicken... have appeared on online booths, participated in fairs and agricultural festivals in and outside the province, contributing to promoting the OCOP Bac Ninh brand. The Association proactively connects with supermarket systems and safe agricultural product stores, promotes trade promotion programs, and promotes value chain linkages.
The initial effectiveness is clearly shown through typical models such as: Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen (Tan An ward) applied IoT technology in growing melons and Korean melons on an area of 2,000m², helping to increase productivity by 20-25%, saving labor and production costs. Mr. Nguyen Huu Quy's family (Dong Ky commune) applied biotechnology in raising free-range chickens with a scale of more than 40,000 chickens/year, earning over 2 billion VND, creating stable jobs for dozens of workers. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dung, Director of PKT VIETNAM Joint Stock Company (Tien Du commune) applied digital technology in management and business, bringing the OCOP 4-star braised shrimp paste product to nearly 60 agents nationwide and exporting to several ASEAN countries.
These typical models not only demonstrate the effectiveness of digital transformation in agriculture but also demonstrate the accompanying and leading role of the Association in helping members innovate their thinking and improve their competitiveness.
Creating the foundation for modern agriculture
To concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, digital transformation in agriculture is identified as an important direction to promote green growth, increase production value and income for rural people.
According to the assessment of the Provincial Farmers' Association, farmers' awareness of the role of information technology has changed significantly. More and more people use smartphones, participate in social networks, proactively access market information, and link to product consumption. The deployment of MCA software and IoT models has formed an open agricultural data network, creating a foundation for management, traceability, market forecasting and building a new model rural area.
Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Nguyen Hoang Trung affirmed: "The Bac Ninh Farmers' Association will continue to promote its core role in digital transformation of agriculture, focusing on training and fostering digital skills for members, developing more smart production models, contributing to building new, dynamic, integrated and technology-mastering farmers."
With a methodical and creative approach, Bac Ninh is gradually realizing the goal of developing agriculture in the direction of digitalization, modernization, and efficiency, affirming its position as a leading province in comprehensive digital transformation in the Red River Delta region.
