Saigon Port Customs Area 3 (under the Customs Sub-Department Area 2) has just issued a decision to enforce tax collection on Ba Huan Joint Stock Company (address No. 2 Nguyen Dinh Chi, Binh Tay Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) by stopping customs procedures for import and export goods.

The reason for the enforcement is that the taxpayer has tax arrears that are over 90 days past the deadline for payment as prescribed. The amount of debt subject to enforcement is more than 51.3 billion VND.

The decision of the customs authority shall be effective for 1 year from November 10, 2025 to November 9, 2026 and shall expire when the tax arrears are fully paid to the state budget.

Ba Huan Joint Stock Company was founded by famous businesswoman Pham Thi Huan (born 1954, also known as Mrs. Ba Huan).

As a child, Mrs. Huan dropped out of school and followed her mother to carry eggs. She went to hamlets to buy eggs from people and then brought them to the local market to sell for money. As demand grew, she traded between the Western provinces and transported them to Ho Chi Minh City.

It was the egg sales that supported her family of eight siblings. After a period of following her mother, Mrs. Huan took over the business. The Ba Huan egg brand was born in 1985.

In July 2021, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, raw material prices and production costs increased, affecting poultry egg businesses, leading to losses. However, as general director, Ms. Huan refused the proposal to raise egg prices from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade. At the same time, she committed to maintaining a stable supply during difficult times. At that time, her company supplied about 1 million eggs per day to the Ho Chi Minh City market.

However, according to the National Business Registration Portal, the representative of Ba Huan Company has changed since September 2022. Accordingly, Mr. Tran Viet Hung (born in 1985) has been the general director and legal representative of the enterprise since then.

On the morning of November 13, speaking to VietNamNet regarding the Ba Huan Company being forced to pay taxes by customs, Ms. Pham Thi Huan said that she and her family members are no longer involved in the operations of the business she founded. The transfer of shares between Ms. Huan's family and Mr. Hung has been taking place for 3 years now.

"Currently, the company's tax debts to the State have nothing to do with me and my family," she affirmed.

New scam trick, business households in HCMC have tax payment notices sent to their homes . Business households in HCMC receive invitations from the tax authorities. However, this is a fake document. If you do not read it carefully, taxpayers may be deceived.
