Speaking with Tuoi Tre on November 13, Ms. Pham Thi Huan, founder of Ba Huan Joint Stock Company, shared information related to the company owing more than 51 billion VND in taxes and wanted to clarify to avoid any impact.
According to Ms. Huan, she is currently only the honorary Chairman of the Board of Directors and does not participate in the management because she has sold all of the company's shares. The current legal representative and manager of the company is Mr. Tran Viet Hung - General Director.
In addition, Ms. Huan said that the new partner had only paid a part of the purchase price for the shares, and still owed her a large sum of money.
"I am very sad that the brand I have worked so hard to build over the past decades is now in difficulty. But I affirm that it has nothing to do with the management and this debt, so I request that the information be clear and objective to avoid affecting my personal reputation and that of my family," Ms. Huan emphasized.
Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online at noon on November 13, an individual working at Ba Huan said the above tax debt consists of two parts.
Part of the debt is from the previous debt of about more than 11 billion (mainly due to business difficulties and tax debts), and the remaining tax debt is due to the sale of facilities at the end of 2024 but the tax obligation to the State has not been fully paid, and is now overdue according to regulations.
This person confirmed that the above tax debt issues only arose after Ms. Huan sold all her shares (early 2022), and Ms. Huan currently has nothing to do with the management or the above tax debt.
Tuoi Tre Online contacted (called many times and texted) Mr. Tran Viet Hung, current General Director of Ba Huan, but Mr. Hung did not pick up the phone and has not responded to text messages.
When there is feedback, Tuoi Tre Online will update.
Previously, Saigon Port Customs Area III (under the Customs Sub-Department of Area II) issued a decision to enforce by stopping customs procedures for export and import goods of Ba Huan Joint Stock Company to implement the official dispatch dated October 30 of Tax Department 6, Ho Chi Minh City.
The reason for enforcement is that the taxpayer has tax arrears that are over 90 days past the prescribed payment deadline, and the amount being enforced is more than VND 51.32 billion. The decision is effective for 1 year from the date of announcement and will expire when the tax arrears are fully paid to the budget.
