Market fluctuates, VN-Index closes slightly down

On November 13, the Vietnamese stock market fluctuated. The VN-Index closed almost unchanged, down only 0.03% as bottom-fishing demand counterbalanced selling pressure. The liquidity reached more than VND24,000 billion, showing that investors temporarily kept an observation position rather than disbursed heavily.

Market liquidity decreased compared to the previous session, with total trading volume on the three floors reaching more than 797 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND24,084 billion.

Foreign investors continued to net sell on all 3 floors more than 1,220 billion VND, focusing on codes STB (408.36 billion VND), VCI (223.91 billion VND), MCH (145.16 billion VND), VIX (129.7 billion VND), HDB (128.22 billion VND)...

In the opposite direction, the codes that were net bought a lot in this session includedFPT (310.96 billion VND), VNM (276.02 billion VND), TCB (143.94 billion VND), PVD (119.49 billion VND), KDH (90.95 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the order matching value this session increased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 19,544 billion VND.

This session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increasing by 5.01 points included: GEE, VNM, DGC, VCB, GAS, GVR, POW, BCM, PVD, VGC.

In the whole market, there were 143 stocks increasing in price, 85 stocks remaining unchanged and 71 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 0.42 points (-0.03%) to 1,631.44 points. Liquidity reached over 699.14 million units, equivalent to a trading value of over VND21,737.3 billion. The entire floor had 163 codes increasing, 63 codes remaining unchanged and 138 codes decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 8.04 points (-0.43%) and stopped at 1,864.23 points. Liquidity reached more than 275.22 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 11,133.07 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 13 stocks increasing, 2 stocks remaining unchanged and 15 stocks decreasing.
