Mixed pho ranked highest (position 35), with 4.1/5 points, described as "a variation of traditional Vietnamese pho, popular in Hanoi and during the summer."
According to Taste Atlas, mixed pho is a dry dish without broth. The other two Vietnamese dishes were salad (nộm), ranked 45th with 4 points, and beef with lime dressing (bò tái chanh), ranked 65th with 3.9 points.
"Nộm is the name used in the North, while in the South it's called 'gỏi'. Nộm is usually mixed with a dressing and served with shrimp crackers. Common ingredients include vegetables such as cabbage, radish, papaya, green mango, banana blossom, sliced cucumber, and even shredded meat or seafood," the food website wrote.
Beef carpaccio with lime is described as a combination of thinly sliced beef, rare-marinated with lime or kumquat juice, then mixed with fried garlic. This dish is usually presented on a layer of fresh herbs and onions, and garnished with red chili peppers, crushed peanuts, and fried shallots. Taste Atlas specifically suggests beef carpaccio with lime as an appetizer, accompanied by a dipping sauce and alcoholic beverages.
