The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has established three awards for outstanding Italian and foreign researchers and innovators who promote science and technology in international cooperation.
The Embassy of Italy in Hanoi and the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City have just introduced three attractive prizes for Vietnamese candidates:
“Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation” Award
Now in its seventh year, the award is open to Italian researchers aged 65 or younger with at least 10 years of postdoctoral experience.
These are people who have affirmed their position abroad (and specifically in Vietnam) for the excellence of their work and their ability to promote bilateral cooperation between Italy and Vietnam in the field of science and technology.
“Innovation that Speaks Italian” Award
Now in its seventh edition, the award is for highly innovative technology startups founded by Italian citizens, who have been educated in Italy and operate abroad (specifically in Vietnam), companies that have built their businesses thanks to their scientific and technological skills.
The award places special emphasis on innovation potential, relevant to the current situation of the host country and internationally.
“Science, She Says!” Award
In its third year, the award is for young female scientists who have made significant contributions to the advancement of science and technology.
Applicants must be under 40 years of age on June 6, 2025. One award will be made in each of the following regions: Africa and the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Central and South America and the Caribbean, and North America.
The deadline for applications in Vietnam is January 20, 2025. Applications must be sent by email to [email protected] The award, which includes a Medal and a Certificate from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will be presented at the Scientific Attachés Conference of the Italian Embassy Network around the world in 2025.
