The race between US Vice President Kamala Harris and former US President Donald Trump remains tight with just over two weeks left before the election. According to a series of surveys, Ms. Harris has a slight lead over Mr. Trump nationwide. In Morning Consult's weekly survey released on October 22, Ms. Harris leads Mr. Trump by 4 points (50% vs. 46%). Also on October 22, Reuters/Ipsos released a survey showing Ms. Harris leading Mr. Trump by 3 points (46% vs. 43%). This gap is also similar to the survey results released by Reuters/Ipsos last week (45% vs. 42%), except that this week, both sides' support rates increased by 1 point. The USA Today/Suffolk University poll of likely voters conducted from October 14-18 with a margin of error of 3.1 points shows Ms. Harris leading Mr. Trump by 1 point (45% to 44%). According to this result, Mr. Trump has narrowed the gap since the previous survey in August, when Ms. Harris led Mr. Trump by 5 points. Harris also leads Trump by 1 point (49% to 48%) in an Emerson College poll of likely voters released on October 18, after leading by 2 points in September and early October and by 4 points in August.
