Every time a new school year begins, the joyful atmosphere of the first day of school is everywhere. First-day-of-school photos become precious memories for many families. However, sharing these photos online can bring unexpected risks.
Kayla Miracle, a mom who goes by the handle @kaylaqueen22 on TikTok, has issued a warning about posting photos of her kids' first day of school online. "I understand it's the first week back to school. Everyone is excited to see their kids back in school. But I want to tell you one thing : be careful," she said in a video that has been viewed more than 400 times.
Kayla says posting photos of your kids in uniforms with the school name clearly visible is not safe. "I've seen so many videos and you're revealing the name of your school. You can just do a Google search and find out the address of the school," she explains. This means strangers can easily find out where your kids go to school, and you can't watch them all day.
Kayla also emphasized that: "Everyone wants to be a content creator, but no one thinks about the safety of their children." Many other TikTok users agreed that this is something that many parents do not pay attention to. One user commented: "Yes, it is strange." Another wrote: "I agree with your point. This should be basic for every parent to know. Also, buses should have seat belts."
The story that Kayla shared is not only a reminder about protecting children's personal information but also a warning for parents to think more carefully before sharing anything on social networks. In the digital age, protecting children's safety does not stop at direct supervision but also requires being careful with information shared widely online.
