Weather forecasts for the Ba Ria-Vung Tau area predict heavy rainfall over a wide area, therefore the Da Den reservoir will begin releasing water starting today.
On October 8th, the Center for Management and Operation of Irrigation Works of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province announced that from 8:00 AM that day, the Da Den reservoir began releasing floodwaters, marking the fourth flood release of the year.
Previously, the weather forecast predicted widespread heavy rain in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain, mainly in the afternoon, evening, and night.

To ensure the safety of irrigation works and proactively protect property and lives in the affected area, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Center for Irrigation Works Management and Operation will release floodwaters from October 8th to October 18th.
The center has sent information about the flood release plan to local authorities to warn people to proactively manage their production activities and absolutely prohibit people from fishing, crabbing, or collecting snails in the downstream area where floodwaters are being released.
The planned flood release is expected to affect households and agricultural production along both banks of the Dinh River, from the Da Den reservoir to the Ben Suc area. Specifically, the affected communes and wards include: Chau Pha (Phu My town), Tan Hung, Long Huong (Ba Ria city) on the right bank of the Dinh River; Hoa Long, Phuoc Hung, Phuoc Hiep (Ba Ria city), Nghia Thanh (Chau Duc district) on the left bank of the Dinh River.
