Areas from Nghe An to Thua Thien - Hue and the South Central Coast will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. Meanwhile, the Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers in the evening, with some places experiencing heavy rain.
The meteorological agency warned that thunderstorms pose a risk of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains could cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides in mountainous areas and localized flooding in low-lying areas.
Regarding flood developments, today, floods on the downstream of Ca River (Nam Dan) are below alert level 3; floods on Ma River and Luc Nam River are below alert level 2; floods on Thao River continue to decrease below alert level 3. Meanwhile, floods on Lo River, Cau River, Thuong River and Thai Binh River are still rising.
In the next 12-24 hours, flood in the downstream of Ca River will drop below alert level 2, Lo River will reach alert level 3; Cau River, Thuong River, and Thai Binh River will continue to exceed alert level 3.
From today and tomorrow, floods on Lo River (Tuyen Quang), Cau River, Thuong River ( Bac Ninh ), Thai Binh River (Hai Phong) continue to rise; downstream La River (Ha Tinh) fluctuates at approximately alarm level 2. Flooding has been occurring in low-lying areas along rivers, urban areas in the North, Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh and Dong Nai.
