Quang Ngai completes implementation of electronic medical records

After the launch of the "45-day and night campaign to accelerate electronic medical records" in the health sector, up to now, 100% of hospitals and medical centers in Quang Ngai province have completed the implementation of electronic medical records. Contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, towards building a modern, transparent and effective health system.

The 45-day and night campaign to accelerate electronic medical records launched by the Quang Ngai Department of Health has created a vibrant competitive atmosphere throughout the industry. From August 1 to September 14, 2025, medical facilities have actively implemented digitalization of records, completed professional processes, trained human resources and put the software into operation. To date, the whole province has 36 medical facilities, including: 32 public facilities and 04 private facilities that have announced the completion of electronic medical records on schedule.

Mr. Nguyen Van Diep, Director of Dang Thuy Tram Regional General Hospital, Quang Ngai province said:
"Up to this point, we have completed the electronic medical record. 100% of the staff have used it proficiently. They have practiced for 2 months very urgently and learned to complete it on schedule."

They are the foundation for proactive disease prevention and long-term treatment monitoring. Electronic medical records also bring many advantages to the medical team. Doctors and nurses can easily monitor the patient's condition anytime, anywhere, through the electronic system. Adjusting treatment regimens, organizing interdisciplinary consultations, asking for expert opinions, or approving medical orders are all done more quickly, accurately, and transparently.

"The benefit for people is that they don't need to bring any documents or books when going to the doctor, so they don't miss anything. During the process, they can open it to see the schedule of examination times and medications listed in it."

“The doctor only holds the smartphone to monitor all the patient's clinical and paraclinical conditions. Second, at home, he can monitor the patient's condition and the developments updated by other doctors. Exchange and consult with interdisciplinary specialists.”

Identifying the use of electronic medical records as a top priority in digital transformation of healthcare, in the coming time, the provincial health sector will focus on raising awareness and skills for medical staff, ensuring smooth and accurate system operation. Promote connection and data exchange between medical examination and treatment facilities to create a synchronous information network, supporting comprehensive and timely patient care. Strengthen inspection and supervision of the use of electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with professional procedures and information security.

“It can be said that in a short time, this is a great effort of the whole industry, especially the medical examination and treatment facilities that have completed on time according to regulations. This is an important premise for the facilities to be eligible to pay health insurance settlement from October 11.”
