On May 19, at Duong Van Lich Primary School (Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City), Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union in collaboration with VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) organized the inauguration and handover of the RO water filtration system. This is one of five primary and secondary schools with difficult physical conditions in Ho Chi Minh City to receive water filtration machines on this occasion.

Five schools in the city have installed water purifiers, including: Nguyen Van Tran Primary School (Binh Chanh District), Duong Van Lich Primary School (Nha Be District), Nguyen Hue Secondary School (District 4), Bui Van Moi Primary School (Thu Duc City) and Truong Thanh Primary School (Thu Duc City).

These schools have difficult physical conditions (or are newly built), do not have water filtration systems or are degraded. Currently, nearly 6,000 students and teachers at five schools use unsafe water sources.

Therefore, the project is meaningful in contributing to improving access to and use of safe and sustainable water sources, improving the health of students and teachers through the installation of clean water systems.

The total cost of implementing the project is 355,000,000 VND , including the cost of implementing, operating and maintaining the system .

Clean water is the foundation for a healthy life and reduces the spread of all types of diseases, especially for disadvantaged children. Installing these water filtration systems will improve the health and quality of life of our children, thereby opening up a sustainable, healthy and brighter future for everyone.”
