The Military Women's Committee organized gratitude activities in Dong Thap province.

DTO - Towards the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on July 16, the Military Women's Committee (General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army) coordinated with the Military Command of Dong Thap province to offer incense and flowers to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Thap at the Nam Ky Khoi Nghia historical site (Long Hung commune, Dong Thap province) and presented 100 gifts to policy families and women in difficult circumstances in Long Hung commune, with a total amount of 130 million VND.

Attending the gift-giving ceremony were Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - Head of the Military Women's Committee; Colonel Le Hoang Giu - Deputy Chief of Politics of Military Region 9; Colonel Cao Van Thao - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command and representatives of the Party Committee and local government of Long Hung commune.

This is a meaningful activity, continuing the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" of women in the Army, aiming to propagate andeducate cadres and women's union members to raise awareness, responsibility and express deep gratitude for the sacrifices of the previous generations in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland. At the same time, share and encourage women in difficult circumstances to rise up in life.

On this occasion, the Political Department of Military Region 9 also presented 80 million VND to support the construction of a "Border Warm Home" house for Ms. Phan Thi Chi (residing in Cong Tao Hamlet, Tan Hong Commune, Dong Thap Province), a women's association member with difficult housing circumstances.
