The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee approved the investment policy of an FDI project with a total investment of 590 million USD in Tho Loc Industrial Park, phase 1, in the Southeast Economic Zone. The Mega Textile - Vietnam project is invested by a Singaporean investor.
The project's goal is to produce all kinds of fabrics, knitting, colored yarn, cut semi-finished products, costumes, belts, etc. The project is divided into 3 phases. Phase 1 will be officially put into operation in the second quarter of 2028; Phase 2 will be officially put into operation in the second quarter of 2030; and Phase 3 will be officially put into operation in the second quarter of 2034. Once put into operation, the project will contribute to the State budget and create jobs for more than 15,000 local workers.
Also in today's meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee gave opinions on a number of contents: Adjusting the approval of the investment policy for the VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park, Urban Area and Service Project; Urban Development Program of Nghe An Province to 2030, vision to 2050; Directive of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on strengthening the connection between labor supply and demand, job creation, and labor attraction for FDI enterprises; Policy on building a Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on stipulating policies to support additional social insurance contributions for voluntary social insurance participants in Nghe An Province, period 2025-2030; Policy on reorganizing the Management Board of the High-Tech Forestry Zone in the North Central Region; Results of 1 year of implementing Directive No. 24 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over mass mobilization work in special areas of the armed forces of Nghe An province for the period 2023 - 2030 and the following years".
Regarding the draft Project to preserve and promote the value of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs in the period of 2025 - 2030, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung concluded: Basically, the contents of the draft Project have met the requirements. Regarding the draft Project and Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on cultural development of Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, the head of Nghe An province assessed: The new contents are sufficient but not deep, not commensurate with the cultural depth of Nghe An; The Department of Culture needs to develop and resubmit for the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to comment./.
