The strength of the Front lies in uniting the people's hearts and minds, and harnessing their power.

In recent times, we have witnessed that, amidst the most critical periods of epidemics or floods, the calls from the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to participate in supporting epidemic prevention and control or to support flood victims have been met with enthusiastic responses from the entire population. During these difficult times for the country, the Front has clearly demonstrated its role, gathering the wisdom and strength of the people, mobilizing and uniting the people to overcome difficulties and challenges.

The term of the 9th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is drawing to a close, marked by significant difficulties and challenges. The Covid-19 pandemic has created unprecedented difficulties. The Fatherland Front has mobilized and united the extraordinary strength of all Vietnamese people in combating the pandemic. (See details)

Historical milestones

On November 18, 1930, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Indochinese Communist Party issued a directive to establish the Anti-Imperialist Alliance – the first organizational form of the Vietnam National United Front. Over the past 94 years, spanning nearly a century of revolution, the Front has had different organizational forms and names in each period and stage.

The Congress of the United Front of Vietnam was held in Ho Chi Minh City, merging three organizations: the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam, and the Alliance of National, Democratic and Peaceful Forces of Vietnam, under the name Vietnam Fatherland Front. Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front

After the reunification of the country, to meet the requirements and tasks of national construction and defense in the new era, the Front organizations of the two regions merged to form the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Since then, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has held nine National Congresses. (See details)

The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, for the term 2024-2029, will be held in Hanoi from October 16 to 18, 2024. This is a significant political event for the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army.

With the theme "Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development," the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front demonstrates the determination of all Vietnamese people at home and abroad to unite, work together, and resolutely achieve success in the cause of reform, industrialization, and modernization; to build and firmly defend the Fatherland, maintain a peaceful and stable environment, and build a prosperous and happy country.
