(Chinhphu.vn) - On the afternoon of October 8, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission launched a fundraising campaign to support local people in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission attended and launched the program.

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, promoting the precious tradition of solidarity of our nation, with the spirit of "mutual love and support", "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves", the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission mobilized agencies, organizations, individuals, affiliated units and localities to share and provide spiritual and material support, contributing practically to supporting people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

Any contribution, no matter how small or large, is a valuable resource and will be used for the right purpose to help people in areas affected by natural disasters and floods overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that this is a noble gesture, contributing to encouraging and supporting people in the immediate and long-term difficult period.

The Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission requested that in the coming time, departments, affiliated agencies and localities promote their responsibilities and duties, actively do a good job of propaganda work, strongly spread examples of good people and good deeds; mobilize families, localities, benefactors... to join in supporting compatriots within their capabilities.

At the same time, regularly monitor and grasp the situation of the people and localities to promptly have effective solutions to advise on related work aspects.
