EVN Deputy General Director Ngo Son Hai gave a speech at the working session with EVNHANOI
On July 31, in Hanoi , Deputy General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) Ngo Son Hai chaired a working session with Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVNHANOI) to review the work of ensuring electricity for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
According to the report at the working session, EVNHANOI has issued a plan to ensure electricity with the goal of ensuring absolute safety, continuity, stability and ensuring the quality of electricity throughout the capital during the days of the celebration, parade, and march of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Specifically, from 10:00 p.m. on August 26 to 6:00 a.m. on September 3, 2025 and during the preliminary review, final rehearsal, and organization of commemorative activities, the Corporation will not perform any power outages, except in cases of incident handling with special instructions. The main and especially important event venues such as Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, headquarters of central agencies, Hanoi People's Committee and cultural - sports venues, hotels, accommodation facilities, etc. all have plans to supply power from two grid sources or with backup generators and UPS.
For the Ba Dinh Square area, where the parade, march and key art programs will take place, EVNHANOI has developed a detailed plan to ensure electricity. Ba Dinh Electricity Company has closely coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Guard Command in assigning forces, checking equipment, and creating specific operating diagrams for each location. Locations such as the parade command center, the grandstand area, and the sound and lighting system are all guaranteed stable power supply, with 24/7 staff on duty, ready to quickly handle any situation...
Speaking at the meeting, EVN Deputy General Director Ngo Son Hai highly appreciated the proactive spirit of EVNHANOI, a unit with extensive experience in ensuring electricity for major events in the capital. EVN leaders emphasized that this event is of special scale, requiring very high requirements for safety, stability and continuity in power supply, so all work must be carried out at a higher level, more carefully, absolutely not allowing any errors to occur.
The Deputy General Director of EVN requested to develop a separate power supply plan for the Ba Dinh Square area, which fully demonstrates the operating diagram, incident handling plan, operation plan in conditions of no communication and clearly assigns a direct commander at the scene - an officer with sufficient authority to make immediate decisions if a situation arises.
In addition, units must continue to carefully review the power supply system at all event venues, from signal wires, connectors, power pull locations... to ensure that no incidents occur due to subjectivity.
EVN leaders also requested the use of load data on the most recent hot days to review, balance phases, and re-balance loads in medium and low voltage areas at risk of overload, ensuring that no local power outages occur during the peak of the event. At the same time, units must coordinate with relevant forces to practice incident handling plans at key points, ensuring proactive and quick response in all situations.
