Lai Chau Newspaper gives gifts to Giang Thi Su's family in Nung Nang commune

(BLC) - On June 15, Lai Chau Newspaper and Mr. Mai Thanh Xuan - Former officer of the Department of Training Management, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics presented gifts to Ms. Giang Thi Su's family in Phan Chu Hoa village, Nung Nang commune, Tam Duong district.

Giang Thi Su's family in Phan Chu Hoa village is in a particularly difficult situation. Her husband died early due to a serious illness. For more than 3 years, she has been working hard to raise 5 children. The oldest child is in 8th grade this year, the youngest is over 4 years old. Her family has been listed as a poor household in the commune for many years. Currently, they do not have a house. The dilapidated wooden house where she and her children live was lent to her by her uncle. Every month, Su still has to "bear" the interest on the bank loan she took out to treat her husband's illness and does not know when she will be able to pay off the debt.

Understanding the difficult circumstances of her family, Lai Chau Newspaper and Mr. Mai Thanh Xuan's family visited and encouraged her and her children, hoping that she would overcome difficulties, actively work and produce to have conditions to take care of her children's food, education, and become useful citizens for society.

During the summer, Mr. Mai Thanh Xuan took his granddaughter Mai Diep Anh to Lai Chau - a difficult border province to experience life, helping her understand and share the difficulties and deprivation of students in the highlands so that she can have motivation in studying, know how to live with love, have a compassionate heart, and help those in difficult circumstances in life.

On this occasion, Lai Chau Newspaper and Mr. Mai Thanh Xuan's family presented money, clothes, books, stories, necessities, etc. to 6 members of Ms. Giang Thi Su's family.
