Art program to celebrate Independence Day 2025

In his welcoming speech, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of Independence Day 2025 affirmed: This year's Independence Day is an event of special significance as it is the second time it is organized at the provincial level and the first time Than Uyen Commune People's Committee takes on the role of the host unit after implementing the 2-level government model. This is a vivid demonstration of the locality's sense of responsibility, proactiveness and creativity in inheriting and promoting cultural and historical values.

Independence Day 2025 Organization welcome speech.

Over the past 80 years, the people of all ethnic groups in Than Uyen have united, continuing the indomitable spirit of their ancestors, building their homeland to become more and more beautiful, contributing to the glory of the Northwest borderland. Independence Day, also known by the affectionate name "Red Flag with Yellow Star Festival", has become a typical cultural symbol of Than Uyen since the 1950s. This is an occasion for people of all ethnic groups to gather in joy, pride, express their love for their homeland and gratitude to the Fatherland. Independence Day has become a cultural rendezvous, a big festival not only in Than Uyen but also spread to many localities in the Northwest region. The combination of beautiful nature and unique cultural identity has created a vivid tourism picture, making Than Uyen a promising destination for tourists on their journey to explore the Northwest.

Independence Day 2025 takes place from August 30 to September 2 with a series of special events: Flag-raising ceremony; Art program; Solidarity circle; motorized paragliding performance; "Non nuoc Khoen On" festival; "Huong sac Muong Than" festival; KOMOMO race; swallow-tailed boat race; "Huong sac Lai Chau " photo exhibition; Nam Pat fair; excerpts from festivals, folk games, introduction of OCOP products... and many other attractive activities.

Immediately after the welcome speech was a special and elaborate art program with the theme "Strong belief - Firm steps for the future" with 3 parts: Part I: The Party and Uncle Ho - Guiding light; Part II: Unity of ethnic groups - Strength of the country; Part III: Developing homeland - Bright future. Immediately after the art program was a performance of panpipe, umbrella and big xoe dance with the theme "Sparkling colors of Than Uyen - Lai Chau" with the performance of more than 3,000 artisans and student actors from communes in the province, creating a unique cultural picture, imbued with the identity of the highlands. This is also a gift from the ethnic people of Lai Chau province to the Party and beloved Uncle Ho on the occasion of Independence Day (September 2). Everyone held hands and spread their hands to express the immortal spirit of solidarity on Independence Day.

The dance ended with a colorful fireworks display to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2nd.
