On September 2, while many people eagerly watched the parade and marching on television at Ba Dinh Square, Mr. Le Dinh Tien (45 years old, employee of Vincom Security Company Limited) was still present at his workplace regularly to guard the machinery and construction equipment of Vinhomes Duong Kinh Project. “Seeing friends gathering to watch the parade and marching while meeting and celebrating made me a little sad. However, the company is very attentive and gives extra money to those who work during the holidays. I have more money to buy uniforms and school supplies to prepare for my two children to start the new school year,” said Mr. Tien.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang, a customer consultant at Dien May Xanh Supermarket, No. 253 Ngo Gia Tu, Hai An Ward, Hai Phong City, said that when the store surveyed the wishes of its employees, he voluntarily signed up to work during the holidays because this is the time when people have a high demand for sightseeing and shopping for electronic devices and household appliances. At the Nguyen Trai Bridge Construction Project in Ngo Quyen and Thuy Nguyen wards, these days, nearly 300 engineers and workers are working tirelessly day and night to ensure the progress of the project. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, manager of the wire department, Horn Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that these days, more than 40 workers in the department she is in charge of are working very urgently, ensuring the production progress of year-end orders. Each worker is always aware of complying with labor regulations, correct positions, and implementation techniques on the production line, while at the same time proposing solutions and ideas to reduce operations and production time while still ensuring product quality and acceptance according to customer requirements.

At Hyundai Kefico Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Dai An Industrial Park, the company's union launched a culture of respecting and listening to employees, creating a flexible group working space; organized a competition movement to encourage the exchange of experiences and innovative solutions between departments. Awarded awards for excellent innovation ideas of the month, quarter, and year to employees.

In recent years, in the East of Hai Phong, each year 100 - 200 workers and laborers are recognized and awarded certificates of merit as "Outstanding Good Workers" and tens of thousands of laborers are recognized and certified by businesses for their initiatives and creativity in production and business.

In the West of Hai Phong, in the past 5 years, nearly 70,000 topics and initiatives were discovered and implemented by workers and laborers in industrial zones, bringing benefits of thousands of billions of VND to businesses. This result continues to affirm the important contributions of workers to the development of the city and the significance of spreading the patriotic emulation movement among workers.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, Permanent Vice President of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, the city is promoting patriotic emulation movements in all fields, especially focusing on emulation to make breakthroughs in science , technology development and digital transformation in the period of 2025 - 2030 to build a modern, smart and sustainable city.
