A performance at the art program |
The art program takes place from 8pm, including many special performances praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the country and the people of Vietnam, contributing to creating a joyful and solemn atmosphere on the occasion of Independence Day. The program is performed by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theater.
The art program "Melody of the Fatherland" not only performs musical works, dances, and echoes profound poems, but also expresses deep gratitude to previous generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
In 90 minutes, the program consists of 3 parts: "Melody of the Fatherland", "Continuing the story of peace " and "Aspiration to rise up" bringing the audience back to the heroic historical moments throughout the 80 years of hardship but glory of our nation through music.
From “The Road We Take” by musician Huy Du to “The Unification Song” composed by musician Vo Van Di, which first resounded on the Voice of Vietnam radio in early 1976, it was like the cheers of the people and soldiers of the whole country sharing the joy of a unified country, a united country.
The song “Melody of the Fatherland” by musician Tran Tien is closely associated with the cause of protecting the country’s sovereignty in each historical period. During these historic September days, the whole country and Hue City celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. This is a glorious historical milestone of the nation, adding spiritual motivation for generations to continue writing the glorious tradition of our nation.
“I Wish to Be a Vietnamese” by musician Doan Minh Quan is a song that deeply expresses love and national pride. Through that, it recalls the nation’s glorious past, containing a spirit of resilience and deep sacrifice.
“Continue the story of peace” is a song that conveys a profound message about the desire for peace, the spirit of solidarity and the responsibility of the young generation in preserving the sacred values that our ancestors shed their blood to protect. The song is a reminder and also a call for today's generation to continue writing heroic pages of history - but through actions to build, develop and spread peace.
“Come back and listen to me sing the ancient capital” is a composition by Tuan Phuong. The song is lyrical, profound and full of love for the homeland, especially for the ancient capital of Hue. With familiar images such as Ngu Binh, Thien Mu, Huong Giang, Ngo Mon…, the lyrics depict an ancient, gentle and dreamy Hue.
And the song "Aspiration for Hue to Fly Up" by musician Nguyen Anh Tri performed by a male and female choir and dance group from the Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theater affirms: Through long journeys across the country, along with the whole country, Hue City has been and is striving with aspirations for development as the name of the song "Aspiration for Hue to Fly Up" suggests.
The art program ended with a high-altitude fireworks display with 1,000 fireworks illuminating Hue's Flag Tower, bringing memorable moments to tens of thousands of spectators.
