Accordingly, at 6:30 p.m. on December 3, Huong Dien Hydropower Joint Stock Company had to adjust the flow rate of the hydropower reservoir through the spillway and turbine to gradually increase the flow rate, avoiding sudden changes of about ^250-600m3 /s.

To ensure safety, the Hue City Civil Defense Command notes that communes and wards in the downstream area of ​​Huong Dien Hydropower Reservoir strictly prohibit boating, firewood collection, fishing, etc. on the river and lake.

The water level of Huong Dien hydropower reservoir at 2:00 p.m. on December 3 was at +56.22m (normal water level +58m), the flow to the reservoir was 240m ³ /s, the flow to the downstream was 180m ³ /s.

According to the forecast of the Hue City Hydrometeorological Station, from December 3-5, Hue City will continue to have moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain. The total rainfall for the period is commonly 100-200mm, in some places over 300mm.
