At 9pm, fireworks were set off in front of My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi . Tens of thousands of people gathered on Le Duc Tho Street from 7pm to wait for the fireworks. A few minutes earlier, 21 cannons placed at the gate of My Dinh Stadium were fired with a loud bang. Hanoi will launch fireworks at 6 locations. Of which, 2 locations will have a combination of high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks and pyrotechnics: in front of the headquarters of the Hanoi Moi newspaper and in front of the Hanoi Post Office . 4 locations will have a combination of high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks: Coconut Island - Thong Nhat Park, in front of the Water Sports Palace - National Sports Complex, Lac Long Quan flower garden and Van Quan Lake. The fireworks will be launched simultaneously, lasting 15 minutes. The total number includes 3,600 high-altitude fireworks, 540 low-altitude fireworks, and the cost of implementation is about 13.45 billion VND. In Ho Chi Minh City, from 8pm, at Ben Bach Dang Park, Saigon Ward, it started to rain heavily, surprising thousands of people who were waiting to watch the fireworks. Many people quickly ran to take shelter under the awnings of nearby shops and hotels. The rain made the sky hazy, affecting the viewer. However, with the mentality that it only happens once every 80 years, many people in Ho Chi Minh City still patiently braved the rain to watch the fireworks. Ca Mau organized an art program and fireworks display at 2 locations on the evening of September 2. The art program started at 7 p.m. on September 2, followed by a fireworks display, held at 2 locations, including: Hung Vuong Square (Bac Lieu Ward) and Phan Ngoc Hien Square (An Xuyen Ward).
