In early September, overcoming the effects of storms and persistent rain, taking advantage of the sunny weather, people in all grapefruit gardens in the Phuc Trach grapefruit geographical indication area began to busily harvest.

In the large gardens, people pick, sort, transport, the atmosphere is bustling.

Many families mobilized relatives from far away to help deliver goods to customers on time.

The working atmosphere is urgent but full of joy because this year's grapefruit crop is good and prices are stable.

According to local people, despite unfavorable weather conditions, the pomelo trees still yielded relatively high productivity.

This year, the Phuc Trach grapefruit market continues to expand thanks to people proactively applying e-commerce.

Cooperatives, cooperative groups and many households have proactively brought Phuc Trach grapefruit products to e-commerce platforms, connecting directly with consumers nationwide.

This year, many cooperatives continue to invest heavily in e-commerce channels. With the help of AI, promoting and livestreaming sales are much more convenient.

The geographical area granted by the Intellectual Property Office for the Phuc Trach grapefruit brand includes 19/21 communes of the old Huong Khe district (now 7 communes including: Phuc Trach, Huong Do, Huong Pho, Ha Linh, Huong Xuan, Huong Binh).

“Phuc Trach grapefruit” is also one of Vietnam's outstanding agricultural products protected by the European Union (EU) for geographical indications.

The total grapefruit area in the communes is currently more than 2,700 hectares.

Estimated harvest output ranges from 20-25 thousand tons.
