Than Uyen, Lai Chau: "Strong belief - Firm steps towards the future"

(laichau.gov.vn) Tonight (September 1), in Than Uyen commune, Lai Chau province solemnly held an art program to celebrate Independence Day 2025 with the theme: "Strong belief - Firm steps towards the future". Opening performance of song and dance "Proud of the Glorious Party" at the Art Program.

Attending the program were leaders of Lai Chau province, comrades in the Organizing Committee of Independence Day 2025, representatives of departments, branches, organizations, communes and wards in the province; leaders of Than Uyen commune and delegations from Son La province and more than 3,000 artisans, actors, athletes, folk culture clubs of Thai, Mong, Kho Mu, Dao ethnic groups..., a large number of people and tourists gathered here, creating a brilliant and colorful cultural picture.

In his welcoming speech, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Independence Day affirmed: This year, the event has special significance as it is the second time it is organized at the provincial level and the first time Than Uyen Commune People's Committee takes on the role of the host unit according to the 2-level government model. This is a vivid demonstration of the locality's sense of responsibility, initiative and creativity in inheriting and promoting valuable cultural and historical values.

Over the past 80 years, from the fire of the August Revolution to today's renovation, the Vietnamese people have written brilliant pages of history, transforming the country from a colony into an independent, self-reliant, integrated and developed nation. In Than Uyen, the people of all ethnic groups unite, continuing the indomitable spirit of their ancestors, building an increasingly prosperous homeland, contributing to glorifying the Northwestern borderland.

Right after the welcome speech was a special and elaborate art program with the theme "Strong belief - Firm steps towards the future" with 3 parts: Part I, Party and Uncle Ho - Guiding light with music and dance performances praising the Party and Uncle Ho, arousing national pride; Part II, Unity of ethnic groups - Strength of the country recreating the colorful beauty of 54 ethnic groups through Mong dance, highland fair, Dao village dance...; Part III, Developing homeland - Shining future brought the image of Lai Chau - Than Uyen in innovation, integration, and brilliance in the arms of solidarity.

The climax of the program was the Khen dance, umbrella dance and the xoe dance with the theme "Sparkling colors of Than Uyen - Lai Chau" performed by more than 3,000 artisans and student actors from the communes of Than Uyen, Muong Than, Muong Kim, Khoen On, creating a unique, majestic cultural picture imbued with the identity of the highlands.

A large number of people and tourists attended the program.

This is also a gift from the people of Lai Chau province to the Party and beloved Uncle Ho on the occasion of Independence Day, September 2. Everyone holds hands and spreads their hands to show the immortal spirit of solidarity on Independence Day.
