The 2025 Quintessence of the Great Forest - Blue Sea Festival is not only a series of entertainment events but also a journey to bring culture, history and pride of the homeland closer to the community.

The mark of convergence

According to Mr. Cao Thanh Thuong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the opening ceremony of the 2025 Festival of the Quintessence of the Great Forest - Convergence of the Blue Sea, which took place on the evening of August 29, left a strong impression with the musical scene "Aspiration for the Blue Sea - The Shining Great Forest". The program not only recreated the beauty of the blue sea, white sand, majestic mountains and forests along with the rich history and culture of Gia Lai, but also opened a series of vibrant and unique festival activities.

The highlight of the series of activities is the Street Festival taking place on the afternoon of August 31 with a brilliant parade, gathering Miss Vietnam Tourism Ambassador 2024 Dinh Thi Hoa, singers, artists and a convoy of vehicles promoting Gia Lai specialties such as coffee and ocean tuna.

Not only bringing modern colors, the Festival also creates space for traditional art forms such as hat boi, bai choi, gongs, and traditional martial arts to be introduced, contributing to making the atmosphere more bustling and imbued with national identity.

In that flow, amateur tuong artist Nguyen Hang (Ngo May amateur tuong troupe, Xuan An commune) shared her joy at being able to directly participate in the Street Festival and interact with the audience: "I am very happy to be part of the program, especially when I see that tuong art is being interested in and enthusiastically supported by a large audience."

According to Ms. Hang, bringing the art of tuong to the festival space, blending in with the bustling crowd on the street is like breathing new life into the traditional art form. This helps artists and audiences get closer together, opening up opportunities for tuong to be “revived” in the hearts of the public, especially the young.

For him, each gong sound is not only music but also the call of identity, the pride when his ethnic culture is accepted and spread.
