Lao Dong Newspaper and Vietnam Bar Federation cooperate in communication and legal consultancy

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien, Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper, said that Lao Dong Newspaper always highly appreciates the important role of lawyers in contributing to promoting national development and civilized society; at the same time, he assessed that this signing ceremony will lay a solid foundation for cooperation between the two sides.

“The signing ceremony between the two sides will help Lao Dong Newspaper have a solid foundation, and at the same time, Lao Dong Newspaper will become an “extended arm” of the Vietnam Bar Federation in the State’s legal propaganda work that the Vietnam Bar Federation carries out, especially for workers,” said the Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien commented that in the coming time, it is predicted that many problems will arise in labor, civil, economic relations, etc., so Lao Dong Newspaper hopes to have close cooperation from the team of lawyers, thereby contributing to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.

Chairman of the Vietnam Bar Federation Do Ngoc Thinh also said that the signing ceremony is an important milestone marking the cooperation between the two sides.

“I think that although the legal profession and the journalism profession play different roles, they have in common the fact that they provide multi-dimensional critical perspectives, using their professional expertise to protect the disadvantaged in society; the ultimate goal is to serve a fair, democratic, and civilized society,” said Mr. Do Ngoc Thinh.

According to the cooperation agreement, the two sides agreed to implement the agreement in the fields of press - media and legal consultancy, legal aid with the aim of improving the effectiveness of propaganda, dissemination and legaleducation , contributing to the building of socialist legal system in general and enhancing the image, reputation as well as ensuring the safety of each side's activities towards society.

The term of the agreement is 3 years. Every year, based on the agreement, the two parties will summarize the activities of the year to gain experience for the following year's activities to be better than the previous year.
