Regarding the information about the "Scholarship to support ethnic minority and poor students", Mr. Bui Thanh Liem, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Lao Dong Newspaper, said that recently, the program has spread and been implemented in many localities across the country. In Long An alone, this is the fourth time. Mr. Liem expressed his hope that in the coming time, businesses will continue to accompany the program, contributing to supporting students to continue their efforts and achieve many results in their studies.
Mr. Le Thanh Phong, acting Chairman of Duc Hoa District People's Committee, said that this locality has a larger number of students than other districts, towns and cities in Long An. Most of the students are children of farmers and self-employed workers. Many of them are in difficult circumstances, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, the district has called on the community to contribute and help the students to continue going to school.
"Today, students in the district are very happy to receive gifts from units, businesses and financial support for their studies. This is truly a very meaningful program" - Mr. Phong acknowledged.
