Every year, on June 1st, localities, agencies, organizations, associations, and philanthropists carry out many activities focused on children with meaningful programs such as giving gifts, organizing recreational activities, awarding scholarships to children of civil servants, employees, and workers; and providing support to students who overcome difficulties and excel in their studies. Many activities aimed at children in mountainous areas and children from disadvantaged backgrounds are also intensified during this time.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Hiep, head of the Moc Chau Highland Children's Club, informed: Every year, the club contacts and connects with sponsors and benefactors inside and outside the province to support 700-800 million VND and meaningful gifts for disadvantaged children in the highlands of the province. This year, for Children's Day (June 1st), the club raised nearly 10 million VND to donate gifts to disadvantaged children receiving treatment at hospitals in the Moc Chau area and plans to build two playgrounds for children at kindergartens in Song Ma commune.

International Children's Day on June 1st also marks the beginning of the Month of Action for Children and the start of the three-month summer vacation. As a center for uniting, gathering, and organizing activities for the province's youth, the Provincial Youth Activities Center quickly implemented its activity plan with 13 summer classes in three areas: talents, culture, and skills. Ms. Pham Ha Dan Huyen, Director of the Center, said: "The summer classes, which commenced on June 1st, are expected to attract over 500 participants. This will be a meaningful gift for the children on International Children's Day and a practical way for the Center to work alongside families, schools, and localities in managing, caring for, and protecting children, and creating opportunities for youth to learn, play, and develop useful skills."
As early as April, the Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to implement the 2026 Action Month for Children with the theme "Happy, Safe, and Steadfast Children in the Digital Age"; providing guidance and assigning tasks to departments, agencies, and localities in carrying out the work of caring for, educating , and protecting children. In particular, it emphasized strengthening the protection of children in the online environment, equipping children with knowledge, life skills, digital skills, and self-protection capabilities; mobilizing the participation of the entire society, and prioritizing the allocation of resources to effectively implement the work of caring for, educating, and protecting children. The Department of Health also developed a plan on children's health care and the implementation of children's rights with the message: "Protecting children in the online environment is everyone's responsibility"; "Families, schools, and society join hands to protect children"; "Every action today - A safe future for children"...

Currently, the province continues to maintain the activities of "Children's Right to Participation" clubs; and the Youth Union, Youth Association, and Children's Union at all levels continue to promote awareness of the Law on Children.
The province has nearly 410,000 children under 16 years old, accounting for approximately 30% of the population. Currently, 100% of children under 6 years old receive free medical examinations and treatment at public health facilities; children study and play in a healthy environment; children in difficult circumstances receive increasing attention; 100% of communes and wards maintain the standard of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children; the enrollment rate of 5-year-old children in preschool reaches 99.96%; 100% of educational institutions have school counseling teams and organize forums and dialogues to promote children's participation rights and develop models for providing child protection services in schools; 100% of commune and ward-level cultural centers and cultural centers in hamlets, villages, and sub-districts are venues for organizing summer activities, recreation, and sports for children.

The protection, care, and education of children have been receiving increasing attention and implementation through many meaningful and effective activities. Continuous efforts to create a safe and healthy living environment and equip children with comprehensive digital skills will be effective solutions to bring joy and a fulfilling childhood to children, helping them develop holistically, become high-quality human resources, confidently master their future, and build a prosperous and beautiful homeland in the new era.
