On the morning of May 16, Barcelona entered the match with host Espanyol in the Catalan derby with the goal of winning to become La Liga champions. Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 53rd minute, then the Spanish striker continued to assist Fermin Lopez to score the winning goal in the 90+6 minute.
This victory helped Barcelona officially win La Liga 2 rounds early, marking the domestic treble after a successful debut season of coach Hansi Flick.

According to Diario Sports, La Liga is a tournament that does not stipulate a fixed bonus for the champion. Instead, the bonus is mainly divided from television copyright revenue among the 20 participating clubs. It is estimated that this season the Catalan team will earn nearly 200 million euros.
This figure includes 17% of the total bonus fund after winning La Liga, equivalent to about 58.4 million euros. Barcelona also received 9 million euros from winning the Spanish Super Cup and 1.2 million euros from lifting the Copa del Rey.
The club also earned at least €117 million from their performance in the UEFA Champions League, where they were eliminated in the semi-finals by Inter Milan.
In addition, each player will also receive a large bonus after each championship won in the 2024-25 season. The bonus amount is expected to be around 1 million euros/player for each title achieved.
However, Barcelona will not receive the entire amount in one go, as La Liga will divide it over five years: 35% in the first year, 20% in the second year and 15% for the next three years. This is to ensure financial stability and encourage teams to spend appropriately.
