Husband in Thanh Hoa arrested for throwing acid in wife's face

According to information from Thanh Hoa Police, despite being invited many times by the Commune Police and other authorities to mediate, the family conflict between Bui Duy Khanh and his wife, Ms. QTM (born in 1990), has not been resolved.

At around 7:00 p.m. on July 26, Mr. L., Ms. M.'s biological father, reported that Ms. M. was being kept at home by Khanh and not allowed to go anywhere. When the commune police arrived, they saw Khanh and Ms. M. sitting in the living room, so they invited both of them to the headquarters to resolve the matter.

While Ms. M. was driving her motorbike to the police station, Khanh went into the bedroom, took a bottle of acid (contained in a glass bottle, capacity 20ml) and threw it straight at Ms. M.'s face, causing injuries to her face and both eyes, requiring emergency care.

Immediately afterwards, Khanh was arrested by Thanh Cong Commune Police.

According to information from the hospital, Ms. M. suffered severe injuries to her face, neck and both eyes, and could be permanently blind.
